Tourism Place Is Called Gedung Sate in Bandung




This time I will discuss one of the historic tourism sites in Bandung is Gedung Sate, actually why is it called Gedung Sate? This building is a historical building in the center of Bandung. It is called Gedung Sate because it has a unique characteristic, which is a 6-skewer ornament on top of a central tower. These 6 skewers represent the 6 million Gulden used to build this white building in its time. This building is very famous not only in the city of Bandung, but also already famous in West Java and Indonesia.

The building which was built in 1920 until now still stands firmly and functions as the center of Bandung city government. The building, which is touted as the 'Bandung's White House', has now become one of the most visited tourist attractions in Bandung. This is because the architecture is very beautiful and magnificent as well as its historical and cultural elements. Not only the building is very popular, but also the complementary elements of the building in the form of a garden that is very well maintained. The park around Gedung Sate is a favorite location for tourists to take pictures, both taking pictures for souvenirs and taking photos for brides and taking pictures for movies. Every Sunday, besides being busy with tourist activities, the park area is also crowded with people who want to relax and exercise to make body healthty.

This tourism place is located at Jalan Diponegoro Number 22, Bandung . This place is very easy to reach because it is located in the center of Bandung and has good road conditions. Usually tourists who come from out of town will visit this iconic building as well as the Bandung Geological Museum because of its proximity. If you want to use vehicle, you can take angkot(public transportation) from the intersection of Jalan Ir. H. Juanda and Jalan Sulanjana with an angkot that goes to Cicaheum and get off in front of the Building with a travel time of approximately 5 minutes.
          

This building is open to the public only on holidays and weekends only, and requires permission from security staff. In front of the area that has become an icon of the city of Bandung.
