Tourism Place Is Called Gedung Sate in Bandung
This
time I will discuss one of the historic tourism sites in Bandung is Gedung
Sate, actually why is it called Gedung Sate? This building is a historical
building in the center of Bandung. It is called Gedung Sate because it has a
unique characteristic, which is a 6-skewer ornament on top of a central tower.
These 6 skewers represent the 6 million Gulden used to build this white
building in its time. This building is very famous not only in the city of Bandung,
but also already famous in West Java and Indonesia.
The
building which was built in 1920 until now still stands firmly and functions as
the center of Bandung city government. The building, which is touted as the
'Bandung's White House', has now become one of the most visited tourist
attractions in Bandung. This is because the architecture is very beautiful and
magnificent as well as its historical and cultural elements. Not only the
building is very popular, but also the complementary elements of the building
in the form of a garden that is very well maintained. The park around Gedung
Sate is a favorite location for tourists to take pictures, both taking pictures
for souvenirs and taking photos for brides and taking pictures for movies.
Every Sunday, besides being busy with tourist activities, the park area is also
crowded with people who want to relax and exercise to make body healthty.
This
tourism place is located at Jalan Diponegoro Number 22, Bandung . This
place is very easy to reach because it is located in the center of Bandung and
has good road conditions. Usually tourists who come from out of town will visit
this iconic building as well as the Bandung Geological Museum because of its
proximity. If you want to use vehicle, you can take angkot(public
transportation) from the intersection of Jalan Ir. H. Juanda and Jalan
Sulanjana with an angkot that goes to Cicaheum and get off in front of the
Building with a travel time of approximately 5 minutes.
This
building is open to the public only on holidays and weekends only, and requires
permission from security staff. In front of the area that has become an icon of
the city of Bandung.
